Q. Why do so many companies pay thousands to come to a university career fair if they are just going to tell every graduating student that sorry but they aren't hiring. Around 30 companies in my field showed up and well over half of them told every student that they weren't hiring. What possible financial or business sense does it make to spend thousands in travel costs and the thousands they have to pay just to have a booth in the university career fair and then pay the recruiters to stand there and tell everyone they aren't hiring?
