A. I feel that all religions today have people that spread these kinds of things. This doesn't make their religions better or worse than any other. I also feel that if people were really committed to their religions, they wouldn't argue and spread hatred to others for not believing in their way of life. People who do this are hypocrites, because if they were truely devoted to their religion, they wouldn't critisize others beliefs, and would love and respect everyone else as they are. Discriminating only makes these people look ridiculous.

What is the difference between religions and cults?
Q. I assume cults are fake religions, or religions that reject Jesus. What would you consider the difference to be?
Asked by Ted Rell - Thu Mar 3 11:02:06 2011 - - 6 Answers - Comments
A. A cult is a "religion" that does not put Christ as savior on the cross as our redeemer and only way to heaven. JWs for instance would hate to be thought of as a cult but they feel you work your way to heaven and that Jesus was a important prophet not our savior. And they study the same bible as the rest of us!

Why do christianity and other religions tend to spread all across the world like wildfire?
Q. Even in Africa (mostly the western and southern part) I noticed how Islam and Christianity are just thrown on them like they "NEED" it. And how the religions/beliefs they previously had were thrown out due to the invading religion!
Asked by lBlackStar - Mon May 3 20:57:57 2010 - - 11 Answers - Comments
A. Actually, it's more like a virus. They spread mostly because of peer pressure. Other causes are ignorance and poverty.

Jew, Islamic, Christian, Catholic, Bhudists, Protestant, Pagan. And or any others that you would like to mention. No, I'm not writing a paper. How long until the religions of today fall from grace?
Q. Many religions of the past (greeks, egyptians, norse etc) have usually been replaced by other religions after some time. This often occurred as the result of wars which totally obliterated the opposing religion. However, now that civilization has evolved to the point that every is free to believe whatever they want, the religions of today have been able to cling on to everyone like a parasite. They have been able to spread and remain for longer amounts of time. So how long do you think until the religions of today suffer the same fate of the ancient religions? What would it take?

RELiGiONS?!?
Q. out of all the five great religions (hinduism, buddhism, judaism, christianity and islam)... which one has no deity? which relgion is the foundation of two later religions? which religion believes the messiah has already arrived? judaism or christianity?
Asked by =) - Wed Jan 17 15:05:45 2007 - - 6 Answers - 1 Comments
A. Buddsism has no diety. Your second question is bigoted. Judaism is a separate religion equal to the two others that use similar scriptures, which are Christianity and Islam. To say that it is the foundation implies that the other two improved on Judaism, surplanted it, or are the legitimate and correct interpretations. In any case, it implies superiority and is therefore a poor question. Christianity beleives that a messiah has arrived. Jews still hope for the messiah.

What happens to religions that are standing on a single person?
Q. When you consider religions such as Islam and Christianity, they are standing on a single person. In later stage if some one disproves his specialty or if some one proves that the person on whom that religion is standing was a fraud or that person was not existed. Then the belief of all the followers of that religion will be doomed, right? So I believe that we should have faith in God but not in commands of some people (who claims themselves as Goda s apostle). What you say?

A. I can't speak about any other religion besides Christianity, because I don't know enough about them to feel certain. But I believe that Christianity as a whole, and Catholicism in particular needs to modernize itself. Enough with non-sense stories about Adam and Eve eating an apple and dooming all of mankind. Those are fairy tales. People don't take it seriously anymore for the same reasons people no longer believe in Zeus and Greek or Roman mythology. As societies become more educated, it's obvious that those things are not real.

Can the criticisms against one religion be used against all religions?
Q. My point is, there's a counter argument to pretty much every religion. In other words, for every religion, there's a strong group of other religions that have huge arguments against it, which seems strange, because it almost makes all religions the same, in a way. Or is that just the nature of all things? Are all things subject to criticism? Why doesn't anyone criticize gravity or why doesn't every single have criticisms against it? Or is truth for something that's unknown by most people always going to be something that people will greatly reject?

A. Your 'criticism' of all religions in this question is essentially using just TWO religions (Christianity and Islam) as your model for ALL religions. Granted, those two make what they insist is a 'strong argument' against all other religions, so technically your statement is true. BUT most religions don't actually make any arguments about other religions. They just carry on with the world as they see it. Look at the polytheistic religions. How should a Christian view other religions ?
Q. I have seen many books in Christian bookstores condemning other religions as cults/demonic. How should Christians view temples, mosques etc - as being inhabited by Satan and devils that draws people away from their only true god (Jesus) ? Or should Christians view other religions as equally helpful to people with different faiths ?

A. A: Love them and be salt and light to them as the Spirit of God gives ability and words. While Christians cannot endorse or recommend any religious community or institution that does not recognize Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior... as far as we may the Bible also teaches us to live peaceably with all men. Romans 12:18 - If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Whenever I have nagging questions like these I goto FIJC Ministries website and online chat. They always seem to have scripturally sound advice and answers and they have awesome audio sermons on their website! Chatroom: Website:
